Cooperación entre Asociaciones de Estudios de Traducción e Interpretación: un futuro prometedor para la disciplina

2016_intisaEl pasado 15 de septiembre, en Aarhus, durante la reunión de la Sociedad Europea para los Estudios de Traducción (EST), representantes de distintas asociaciones dedicadas a la promoción y fortalecimiento de nuestra disciplina se reunieron para firmar un acuerdo sobre Cooperación entre Asocaciones de Estudios de Traducción e Interpretación.

RELAETI también estuvo presente y, representada por la Dra. Anna Maria D’Amore, se unió a las voces de estudiosos de todo el mundo. La declaración puede consultarse aquí.

Descripción: The Department of Languages and Culture Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure-track position in Spanish-English Interpreting.

Required qualifications include: a Ph.D. in Interpreting or in Translating and Interpreting (T&I), or in a related field, such as linguistics (Spanish-English); an active research agenda; teaching experience with adult students; and a commitment to promoting diversity and working with underrepresented groups. All applications must be specifically for Spanish-English interpreting.

Job duties include teaching two courses per semester during the probationary period, one at the graduate level (graduate courses are taught in the evenings) and one at the undergraduate level, advising graduate and undergraduate students, contributing to service activities and leadership in the Department, and maintaining a successful research and publication record. The successful candidate will teach introduction to interpreting (theory and method) and specialized courses in Spanish-English interpreting such as medical, legal, business, conference, and community interpreting; will create and supervise internships, especially at the graduate level, and mentor graduate students into the profession of T&I; and will develop curriculum in interpreting.
